According to the SmartLab Platform's Occupational Safety and Health Observatory , a joint initiative of the MPT and the International Labor Organization (ILO), they indicate that, in 2020 alone, 46,900 accidents at work were recorded in Brazil. However, it is estimated that this number is even higher due to the amount of underreporting.
That is why it is extremely important to use Personal Protective Equipment, and with the safety of our employees in mind, we bought a new chapel and handed over lab coats to laboratory analysts.
The chapel
The Exhaust Hood is used for analysis of the phosphate content of our product. This analysis is done with acid etching to open the sample.
With this new hood, we reduce the inhalation of toxic gases caused by acid attack, which will reduce the internal depreciation of the equipment due to corrosion and will increase the exhaustion capacity 5 times greater than the previous hood.
The result will be a safer and more moral environment for our employees!
Delivery of lab coats
The ceremony for handing over the lab coats was held to adapt to safety standards, the new lab coats are the size of each one, and each analyst won 2 lab coats. In addition, we reinforced the mandatory use in the laboratory along with the other PPE (gloves, mask, shoes) and provided training on Good Laboratory Practices.
